It’s also a cleverly designed car, with a real focus on simplicity and offering what people really need, and resisting the temptation to load it up with expensive kit that they don’t. That’s resulted in a compelling list price, which is closer to many smaller crossovers than SUVs of a similar size to it.

It’s much bigger, doesn’t skimp on equipment too much, looks the part and has the option of hybrid and pure-electric power with no cost between them. In the real-world, it lives up to this hype, although interior material quality does bring the tone down slightly.
What Car?:

If the mild-hybrid petrol drove as well as the comfier electric model, the Frontera’s star rating would be higher. As things stand, Vauxhall’s new small SUV will have its work cut out against the best rival cars.
Car Magazine:
Read More: https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-revie ... ntera-suv/The Vauxhall Frontera is a big step forward compared to the old Crossland. Better to drive, far more spacious and more in-keeping with the times. It’s an excellent small family car and available for a decent price, too.
But the electric Frontera is a better choice still. It’s more refined, cheaper to run and because it costs the same, price doesn’t need to a consideration. You should choose the best Frontera and that’s one powered by electric, rather than this lukewarm mild-hybrid system.
Electrifying
[quoteThere’s a lot to like about the new Vauxhall Frontera. If you’ve got a family and need space but don’t have a fortune to spend, this could make a lot of sense. There’s plenty of room, even for lanky teens or taller adults, and the interior space has been well thought through to make it usable. It seems to represent a shift for Vauxhall to become a car of the people again, rather than chasing a posher positioning – and we are definitely all for that.][/quote]
